With over a decade of comprehensive experience within Canada Basketball, I have played key roles in coaching, video coordination, player development, and program leadership across multiple national team levels. My focus has been on supporting athlete growth, advancing team performance, and delivering expert scouting and tactical insights to coaching staffs.

Senior Men’s National Team

Assistant Coach & Video Coordinator | July 2010 – May 2012

  • Provided extensive on-court support during daily team practices, running individual and tactical skill sessions tailored to elite athletes’ development needs.
  • Delivered in-depth video scouting and analysis for over 20 international teams in preparation for six major international competitions, including:
    • 2010 Jack Donohue International Classic (Vancouver/Toronto)
    • 2010 Acropolis Eurobank Tournament (Athens, Greece)
    • 2010 FIBA World Championship (Ankara, Turkey)

  • Developed detailed opponent scouting reports to inform game plans, and created specialized video content for coaching education and player feedback.
  • Assisted coaching staff with player skill assessments and tactical adjustments during practices and competitions, contributing to team preparedness and performance on the world stage.

Junior Men’s National Team (U18/19)

Assistant Coach & Video Coordinator | June 2010 – August 2012

  • Supported coaching staff throughout daily practices by organizing individual skill development sessions and tactical team drills designed to elevate player readiness.
  • Conducted comprehensive video analysis of team practices and opponent scouting footage for preparation at the 2010 U18 FIBA Americas World Championship Qualifiers (San Antonio, USA), a key step toward the U19 FIBA World Championships.
  • Created and presented video scouting reports on major competitors such as Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Puerto Rico, and the United States to provide strategic insights.
  • Contributed to the team’s successful Bronze Medal finish at the tournament by enhancing game planning and player development through tailored video feedback and tactical coaching.

High Performance Director & Provincial Programs Head Coach

Head Coach, High Performance Coach – Basketball Saskatchewan | Sept 2017 – June 2019

  • Developed and implemented high-performance training programs tailored to elite U15 male athletes, enhancing skill acquisition, physical conditioning, and basketball IQ.
  • Led the U15 provincial team, overseeing athlete selection, strategic game planning, and on-court execution during provincial and national-level competitions
  • Mentored and supported personal coaches across Saskatchewan, sharing technical knowledge in alignment with NCCP and LTAD (Long-Term Athlete Development) frameworks
  • Coordinated and delivered provincial-level practices and camps, managing logistics, monitoring athlete progress, and fostering a performance-driven yet supportive environment .
  • Collaborated with Basketball Saskatchewan and Canada Basketball stakeholders, promoting coach development, athlete pathways, and talent identification in alignment with best practices from FIBA and NCCP

Head Coach, Centre for Performance (CP) – Ontario Basketball | Sept 2010 – June 2015

  • Lead the CP program focused on identifying and nurturing elite youth athletes aged 13-18 with potential for provincial and national team selection.
  • Designed and implemented Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) plans customized to each player’s individual skills, physical development, and competitive stage.
  • Delivered weekly practices emphasizing fundamental skill development, advanced team concepts, strength and agility training, and mental preparation.
  • Provided mentorship and coaching education to staff, ensuring a consistent, high-quality development environment for athletes.
  • Developed a positive, interactive learning culture promoting athlete growth both on and off the court.

Head Coach, Targeted Athlete Strategy (TAS) Program | May 2010 – September 2013

  • Collaborated closely with Canada Basketball’s Technical Director to scout and develop elite provincial players in U15/U17 age groups for advancement to the national level.
  • Delivered targeted coaching focused on technical and tactical skill enhancement aligned with the phases of the LTAD model.
  • Integrated strength and conditioning, time management, and personal development coaching into basketball training programs.
  • Supported Cadet, Junior, and Senior Men’s National Team programs by preparing athletes for high performance competition environments.
