I believe that the game of basketball, in many ways, is an extension of life. My coaching philosophy is based on providing a high quality, competitive, hard working, and character driven program. “Team” will always come first over the individual and each player will be responsible to demonstrate this quality in every part of their life. Players will grow physically, mentally, and emotionally by committing to a basketball program that practices selflessness, ownership, accountability, and sportsmanship.

TWO DECADES OF LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE

Coach Akser brings a tremendous wealth of knowledge to the position with high-level experience across the board. He played professional basketball in Turkey and Cyprus before he started his first coaching job at Fenerbahce Professional Basketball Club in Turkey.

He has coached almost every level in Canada from CCAA to U SPORTS and club basketball with the Ontario Basketball to stints with provincial and Canada Basketball National teams at the World Championship.
